We're searching for a Principal IT Engineer to be part of our IT Department diverse team of talent. You will be responsible to lead and govern vendor-delivered projects for our Supplier Portal and workflow automation initiatives. This role oversees project execution with third-party vendors, ensures alignment to Secure SDLC, enforces SOX control requirements, and supports solution design and delivery-preferably on SAP Business Technology Platform (BTP) integrated with SAP ERP/S/4HANA and identity platforms. Success in this role requires strong stakeholder management, deep understanding of procure-to-pay (P2P) supplier processes, and hands-on technical proficiency to challenge vendors and ensure quality outcomes.

This is a 1-year contract role.

What you will be working on:

1) Vendor Project Governance & Delivery

  • Serve as the primary technical point-of-contact for vendor-led projects own vendor onboarding, SOW/SoW acceptance criteria, delivery milestones, and issue/risk management.
  • Review and challenge vendor solution designs, estimates, and test strategies drive design decisions and enforce architectural standards.
  • Maintain detailed project plans, RAID logs, and change controls lead stand-ups, design reviews, and steering updates.
  • Ensure complete and signed project artifacts: BRD/FRD, HLD/LLD, test evidence, security reviews, deployment plans, and support runbooks.

2) Supplier Portal& Workflow Solutions

  • Own design and delivery for Supplier Portal capabilities (supplier onboarding, data validation, profile maintenance, document exchange, status tracking, enablement).
  • Engineer workflow automation (approvals, routing, exception handling, SLAs, notifications) across procurement, finance, compliance, and security.
  • Drive data integration with SAP and non-SAP systems (e.g., vendor master, banking, tax, compliance checks, ticketing), including APIs, events, and IDocs.
  • Define and operationalize service levels (availability, performance, throughput) for portal and workflow services.

3) SAP BTP(Preferred)

  • Lead/assist development on SAP BTP (CAP/Node.js/Java, SAP Build Process Automation, SAP Workflow Management, Integration Suite/CPI, SAP Launchpad/Work Zone).
  • Implement integration patterns (synchronous APIs, event-driven, message queues) and identity/SSO (IAS/IDP).
  • Guide code reviews, CI/CD (Transport Management, Git-based pipelines), and environment strategy (Dev/Test/Prod, bluegreen, canary).

4) Secure SDLC& Cybersecurity

  • Enforce Secure SDLC gates from requirements through operations: threat modeling, secure design reviews, SAST/DAST/SCA, dependency scanning, SBOM, code signing.
  • Ensure identity& access best practices (least privilege, MFA/SSO, role-based access control, segregation of duties).
  • Apply data protection (encryption in transit/at rest, masking, key management, secrets handling) and secure logging/monitoring.
  • Coordinate security testing (penetration tests, red team findings) and remediation.

5) SOX Controls& Audit Readiness

  • Implement and evidence SOX ITGC and automated application controls across change management, access management, and operations.
  • Maintain audit trails (who/what/when), maker-checker approvals, and segregation of duties in workflows.
  • Prepare and present audit evidence for design effectiveness (DE) and operating effectiveness (OE): access reviews, change approvals, test scripts, deployment logs, incident records.
  • Embed control checkpoints into CI/CD and operations (pre-commit checks, change freezes, approvals, dual control).

6) Stakeholder Management

  • Partner with Procurement, Finance, AP, Supplier Management, Compliance, and Cybersecurity to shape requirements and success metrics.
  • Communicate status, risks, and dependencies to leadership facilitate UAT and business readiness.

7) Operations &Handover

  • Ensure production readiness: monitoring/observability, alerting, capacity plans, DR/BCP, runbooks, KT to support teams.
  • Drive incident/problem management (root cause analysis, corrective actions) and continuous improvements.

More About You:

  • Candidate must possess Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or equivalent experience
  • 5+ years in IT engineering or technical project roles with vendor management responsibility.
  • Hands-on experience with Supplier Portal or P2P process automation and enterprise workflow platforms.
  • Strong grasp of Secure SDLC, application security controls, and modern CI/CD practices.
  • Practical experience implementing SOX-aligned controls (ITGC, change & access controls, audit evidence).
  • Integration experience with SAP S4HANA and identity providers (Azure AD/Entra ID, SAP IAS, etc ).
  • Excellent documentation, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
  • SAP BTP:CAP/Node.js, SAP Build Process Automation/Workflow, Integration Suite (CPI)
  • API management(REST/OData), Dream Factory, event streaming (e.g., Event Mesh/Kafka), webhooks.
  • Security tooling: SAST/DAST/SCA, SBOM.
  • DevOps: Git, SAP Transport Management
  • Knowledge of Supply Chain process, vendor master, data quality, and compliance
  • Experience with document exchange (e.g., onboarding packs, contracts, certificates, ISO docs).
  • Exposure to privacy regulations (GDPR/PDPA), and data retention requirements.
