Job Description

We are seeking a Principal in Global Ethics & Compliance to join our global Compliance team, where innovation knows no borders. This team leads with impact by safeguarding the integrity of our operations and ensuring that every decision aligns with our commitment to ethical excellence across the travel ecosystem. With an inclusive culture that embraces a flexible work environment, we foster a spirit of collaboration fueled by boldness, curiosity and commitment that empowers us all to win together.

As Principal for the APAC region, you will act as a strategic local presence and a primary conduit for the ethics and compliance program at Sabre. You will navigate a complex landscape of long-standing commercial partnerships and legacy practices, transforming them into modern data-driven programs that align with global standards. This role requires a collaborative partner who can influence senior commercial leaders and build trust within the regional team while maintaining the technical rigor required by global regulatory frameworks.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the primary compliance advisor and local presence for the APAC region by balancing deep-rooted business relationships with high-impact enterprise risk management.
  • Integrate and clean complex data sets from systems like Salesforce and Coupa to track training completion and program effectiveness for senior leadership and the board of directors.
  • Lead regional third-party due diligence and validation for partners and suppliers to ensure that legacy practices are updated to meet the modern Code of Conduct and Supplier Standards at Sabre.
  • Build a safe speak-up culture by acting as a trusted local resource for reporting concerns and managing internal investigations with sensitivity to regional nuances and face-saving dynamics.
  • Enable Second Line of Defense oversight by independently monitoring regional compliance controls, validating the accuracy of business-led screenings and reporting on program health to mitigate enterprise risk.

Preferred qualifications and education

  • Minimum 10 years of experience in ethics, compliance, internal audit or legal within a global technology or highly regulated industry.
  • Proven ability to synthesize compliance data into visual representations and presentations for executive teams and the board of directors.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and a professional, constructive approach to collaboration that fosters trust and positive team dynamics across diverse jurisdictions.
  • Practical understanding of compliance frameworks and the ability to navigate the complexities of long-standing joint ventures or regional partner models.
  • JD or advanced degree in law, compliance or a related field is preferred along with the flexibility to communicate effectively with stakeholders whose first language is not English.

Benefits

Benefits are not one-size fits all, which is why we go beyond the traditional medical and financial benefits to offer perks that promote total well-being. We offer a comprehensive package designed to help you shift into your best self:

  • Competitive pay and performance-based bonuses
  • Flexible work options
  • Comprehensive healthcare coverage
