Job Summary
Lead a team of Optics and Electronics engineers to design, develop, and build test systems and products based on optics, photonics, and laser technologies.
Responsibilities
- Lead the design, development, and construction of test systems and products using optics, photonics, and laser technologies to meet project goals
- Collaborate with device, hardware, and software design teams to support the overall development and integration of optical systems
- Provide multi-disciplinary technical support to instrumentation production by diagnosing and resolving technical issues to ensure product quality
- Recommend and implement cost reduction strategies to optimize production efficiency
- Deliver technical support to facilitate smooth introduction and ramp-up of newly developed products into volume manufacturing
Required competencies and certifications
- PhD in Laser, Optics, Photonics, or equivalent qualification
Preferred competencies and qualifications
- Experience working with photonics devices or systems
- Skilled in laser systems, optics, and photonics components
- Experience using Zemax system for optical design and analysis
