Principal Engineer Marine Piping and Layout

Key Tasks And Responsibilities
- Lead Marine Piping and Layout engineering for FPSO Hull across Concept, Pre-FEED, FEED, Execution and Operation stages
- Provide technical leadership and guidance to junior engineers, shipyards, subcontractors, suppliers.
- Ensure constructability, operability, and maintainability in all engineering decisions
- Review and approve engineering deliverables, 3D models, layouts, and technical documents
- Support cost estimation, construction schedule planning, and project risk assessment
- Decision-making that balances engineering quality, cost, schedule and constructability
- Support identification of value engineering options to enable continuous improvement
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant engineering discipline.
- Minimum 20 years of experience in Marine Piping or Layout Engineering within FPSO, offshore, or shipbuilding industry
- Extensive experience in FPSO Hull marine systems with experience from both shipyard and FPSO contractor environments preferred
- Strong preference for experience in bid and proposal, Pre-FEED and FEED and CAPEX estimation
Skills
- Strong communication and coordination skills across multidiscipline teams
- Effective stakeholder management across Clients, shipyards, internal teams and suppliers
- Strong leadership capabilities, including coaching and guiding less experienced engineers
- Strong understanding of FPSO design principles and industry practices
- Understanding of construction methods, fabrication, commissioning, and offshore integration
- Familiarity with project estimation, engineering planning, and construction scheduling
