Responsibilities

  • Utilize knowledge of SPC, DOE, FDC, ECMS, and other statistical analysis tools to optimize equipment robustness. Coach Associate Engineers in hardware troubleshooting techniques. Establish and enhance Preventive Maintenance (PM) plans for equipment with a focus on quality, cost, and productivity. Collaborate with vendors to address equipment issues and enhance overall performance. Conduct meetings with process and manufacturing engineers to ensure efficiency in meeting module objectives. Determine essential stock levels for spare parts and consumables based on anticipated manufacturing demands. Manage new equipment start-up processes from facilities hookup to vendor initiation and production acceptance. Implement equipment improvement initiatives aimed at efficiency, cost reduction, and reliability. Forecast and monitor budgets for equipment expenditures, establishing a tracking system for expenses. Set measurable targets and objectives to minimize wafer scrap and optimize equipment utilization. Mentor and provide training to Associate Engineers and Technicians on troubleshooting, equipment knowledge, and risk assessment. Ensure resolution and documentation closure of SPSR, MRB, 8D, TECN, and ECN issues. Provide guidance to Junior Engineers and perform self-audits to align with TS16949 Quality Standards. Facilitate performance appraisals for Technicians or Associate Engineers as directed. Offer long-term solutions to recurring departmental hardware issues.

Requirements

  • PhD, MSc, or Bachelor's Degree in Electrical, Electronics, Mechanical, Chemical Engineering, or Physics. 5 to 8 years of experience in the Electrical or Electronics industry. Strong understanding of equipment optimization techniques, including SPC, DOE, FDC, ECMS, and statistical analysis. Proven track record of collaborating with cross-functional teams, equipment vendors, and manufacturing operations. Experience in mentoring engineers and technicians, demonstrating strong leadership and communication skills. Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and project management skills with a focus on continuous improvement.
