[What the role is]
We are seeking an experienced engineering professional to join our team as a Principal Engineer (PE)/Deputy Principal Engineer (DPE) for the civil and structural (C&S) engineering of the Integrated Waste Management Facility (IWMF) Phase 2, a large-scale Waste-to-Energy incineration plant.
You will provide C&S engineering expertise across all project phases — from planning and design, construction to testing and commissioning. You will be working closely with consultants and stakeholders to ensure safe, timely, and cost-effective delivery.
[What you will be working on]
Your Main Responsibilities Are As Follows
- Oversee C&S engineering for IWMF Phase 2 across all project phases, ensuring compliance with engineering standards, quality, and safety regulations.
- Coordinate C&S works with consultants, agencies, and authorities, managing regulatory submissions and securing timely approvals (e.g. BCA, PUB).
- Prepare and evaluate tender and contract documents, and review Progress Claims and variation requests.
- Identify and manage C&S risks, implementing mitigation measures to minimise impact on schedule, cost, and quality.
- Conduct site inspections to monitor construction quality, workmanship, and compliance with approved drawings and specifications.
- Lead and mentor the C&S project team, ensuring effective coordination across all disciplines and stakeholders.
[What we are looking for]
- Degree in Civil and/or Structural Engineering or related discipline.
- Minimum 5 years C&S engineering experience in large-scale infrastructure, industrial, or building projects, including managing consultants, contractors, and multi-disciplinary teams.
- Professional Engineer (Civil or Structural) registered with PEB Singapore will be strongly preferred; other accreditations such as CEng will be considered.
- Experience in waste-to-energy or waste management facilities is an advantage.
- Familiarity with Singapore standards and regulatory processes (e.g. BCA, PUB, LTA) is an advantage.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to engage effectively with diverse stakeholders.
- Resourceful, independent, and able to manage competing priorities.
- Able to work weekends and public holidays when required.
