Principal Engineer, Analog IC Design

The Optical PHY (CE-AMS-OPHY) team designs high-speed and optical transceivers for communication infrastructure in long-haul, metro and datacenter. We address the bandwidth, capacity and power issues faced by cloud computing, mega data centers that powers the social media giant platforms.

We are seeking talented individuals to work on solving technical challenges with the most outstanding group of collaborators in the industry.

As an Analog/Mixed-Signal IC Design Engineer, you will join a critical team focused on designing advanced CMOS transceiver and SERDES products.

Your responsibilities will include implementing and verifying circuits such as PLLs, DLLs, ADCs, regulators, amplifiers, TX/RX blocks, and CDRs to achieve key performance targets. You will also perform design verification using industry-standard tools such as Spectre and MATLAB.

Requirements

• Education & Experience: MS in Electrical Engineering with 9+ years of relevant experience, or PhD in Electrical Engineering with 6+ years of relevant experience.
• Mixed-Signal Design Expertise: Hands-on experience designing mixed-signal circuits, including ADCs, DACs, RX/TX blocks, PLLs, filters, bandgap bias circuits, regulators, and other analog components.
• Technical Depth: Demonstrated depth and/or breadth of expertise, with the ability to apply innovative solutions to complex design challenges.
• Best Practices: Proven track record of identifying and implementing best practices that deliver high-quality and effective solutions.
• CMOS Technology Knowledge: Strong understanding of deep sub-micron CMOS technologies, including low-power and high-speed design techniques.
• Tool Proficiency: Experienced with IC design and CAD tools such as Spectre, SPICE, MATLAB, HSim, Verilog, and others.
• Lab & Testing Skills: Capable of evaluating prototype units against design specifications through lab testing.
• Analytical & Problem-Solving Skills: Excellent analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving abilities.
