Principal Consultant - Data Protection Office
You should have in-depth knowledge of the Personal Data Protection Act (PDPA). In this role, you will work with internal and external stakeholders to help the NTUC and its affiliated unions and associations to meet data protection obligations under the PDPA.
Key Responsibilities
- Monitor and assess the organisation's personal data protection policies and practices, ensuring compliance with the PDPA.
- Identify risks associated with the collection, use, disclosure and storage of personal data and their impact and propose measures to manage the risks.
- Provide evidence of implementation and practices of the organisation's data protection policies.
- Conduct audits, analyse findings and implement changes to address identified gaps.
- Identify and map out key stakeholder relationships, needs and interests, and coordinate with key stakeholders on a day-to-day basis.
- Provide advisory support to stakeholders
- Guide and liaise with the Compliance Managers in business units /departments, affiliated unions and associations
- Conduct PDPA training to raise awareness of PDPA among staff and union leaders
Requirements
- Experience in assessment and management of data protection risks
- Knowledge of data processing operations is an added advantage
- Keen attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to handle confidential information
- Strong team player with an analytical and methodological mind
- Ability to prioritise and manage multiple projects and work in a fast-paced environment

- Organised, responsive, and able to gain support and consensus with multiple stakeholders.
- Experience in conducting data breach investigations is a plus
- Data Protection/Privacy certifications a plus.
