POSITION SUMMARY
The Principal Analytics Consultant plays a critical role in enabling data-driven decision-making across supply chain and logistics initiatives. This role focuses on applying advanced analytics and quantitative methodologies to design, evaluate, and optimize logistics networks, warehouse operations, and end-to-end supply chain solutions. The advisor partners closely with solution design, operations, and automation teams to develop robust, accurate, and cost-competitive proposals, while translating complex data insights into clear business recommendations. In addition, the role supports continuous improvement by enhancing analytical models, tools, and data capabilities to enhance the organization's warehouse operations.
PRINCIPLE DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Lead and support data-driven redesigns of logistics and distribution networks, including network optimization, transport modelling, and scenario analysis.
- Apply advanced analytical techniques to solution design, ensuring proposals are robust, scalable, and commercially competitive.
- Develop and evaluate warehouse and fulfilment solutions, including: - Inventory optimization - Picking and storage optimization - Capacity planning and throughput analysis
- Translate complex analytical outputs into clear, actionable insights for both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Collaborate with regional and global teams to standardize analytical methodologies, tools, and best practices.
- Support customer engagements by contributing to client presentations, business cases, and proposals with strong data-backed narratives.
- Continuously improve analytical models, assumptions, and datasets to reflect operational realities and market conditions.
JOB SPECIFICATIONS
Academic Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Computer Science, Engineering or related field.
- Masters's degree preferred but not necessary.
Experience & Knowledge:
- Strong analytical and quantitative skills with experience in supply chain, logistics, or operations analytics. Proficiency in relevant analytical tools and technologies (e.g., Excel, SQL, Python/R, optimization or simulation tools, BI platforms).
- Solid understanding of logistics networks, warehousing operations, and end-to-end supply chain concepts. High attention to detail, with the ability to work independently and manage multiple analyses in parallel. Strong business acumen, with the ability to balance analytical rigor and commercial practicality. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to influence stakeholders through data.
