Key liaison for Singapore financial and administrative affairs
Responsible for managing and maintaining integrity of all financial information and ensuring compliance with local statutory requirements
Responsible for general accounting and monthly close including but not limited to the preparation/review for journal entries and reconciliations
Publishing financial statements and facilitate audit of financial statements- coordinate and interface with auditors
Assist with preparation of tax returns - coordinate and interface tax authorities, external/internal tax teams
Assisting in accounts payable and treasury functions including but not limited to vendor set up, payment proposals, intercompany settlements
Supporting corporate team with fixed asset and related reporting
Responsible for maintaining sound internal control environment
Preparation and filing of Goods and Services Tax Returns
Preparation and filing of various statutory surveys
Establish documented policies and procedures as they relate to the creation of the finance and administration functions of the local office
Support Sarbanes-Oxley compliance framework
Maintain strong local internal control environment
Assist with local legal, HR and administrative matters as required
Job Requirements
5+ years relevant experience
Big-4 accounting and multinational US company experience will be highly preferred
Bachelors in accounting or finance, professional accounting certification required (CA/CPA/CMA or equivalent)
Prior experience with statutory requirements and reporting for Singapore trade company required (experience with other APAC entities a plus)
Knowledge of US GAAP / IFRS / Accounting principles generally accepted in Singapore
Strong foundation in monthly close process
Good understanding of intercompany accounting/transaction including intercompany payables, receivables and debt as well as cost plus and transfer pricing activities
Good knowledge of payroll and related local regulations
Proven ability to function independently, be hands on and detailed while also seeing big picture
Ability to handle multiple tasks concurrently with ease
Team player with strong communication and organization skills
Experience using ERP systems, SAP knowledge preferred
Proficient in Excel and Microsoft Office Suite
Based at one Singapore location, with expected travel to other Singapore location as required
