Description
Responsible to deliver goods to customer premises in a safe and timely manner.
Duties and Responsibilities
- To ensure that the condition of the vehicle is acceptable for pickup of containers collected /delivered.
- To support the OSH program and make safety and health a part of their daily routine and to ensure that they are following safe work methods and relevant regulations.
- To adhere and to comply with all Singapore ports rules and regulations.
- Familiarization of PSA port procedures with Singapore routes.
- Ensure the trailers is in good condition prior to mounting the containers.
- Conduct pre-operational check on the prime mover and chassis before executing the job
- Transport container and goods according to the assigned schedule
- Ensure containers are collected in good conditions.
- Truck container from PSA to customer and vice versa.
- Carry out daily checks to ensure vehicle's road worthiness before use & maintain vehicle and report any faults immediately to Planner for rectification.
- Other ad hoc duties assigned by Planners.
Qualification and Education Requirements:
- Possess at least Primary/Secondary School.
- 2-3 years of career experience in transportation business.
Skills Competencies
- Minimum Class 4 / 5 driving license.
- Familiar with Singapore routes.
- Capable to work independently.
- Willing to take responsibility and accountability of their roles.
- At least 2 years of relevant working experience in PSA, Jurong Port and Keppel Distripark.
- Good driving records.
