Key Responsibilities:
- Carrier Relations: Leverage established personal connections with Carrier Trade Managers to negotiate Service Contracts and Spot Rates.
- Pricing Strategy: Manage ocean freight pricing for the Trans-Pacific Eastbound (TPEB) route, ensuring market competitiveness for South East Asian origins (China, Vietnam, Thailand, etc.).
- Space Procurement: Secure space allocation during peak seasons and mitigate rollover risks through strong carrier rapport.
Requirements:
- Minimum 5-8 years in Freight Forwarding or Shipping Line (Carrier) environment, specifically focused on the US Trade Lane.
- Must demonstrate a proven track record of direct connections with senior Trade/Pricing personnel at major carriers in Singapore.
- Professional fluency in Mandarin/Chinese (Spoken & Written) is mandatory. The candidate must be able to communicate effectively with Chinese-speaking stakeholders, partners, or carrier headquarters.
