About the Role

At Barentz, pricing is a strategic priority. As Pricing Manager APAC, you will play a key role in building and embedding pricing excellence across the region as part of our newly established Global Pricing Team within the Commercial Centre of Excellence.

This is a hands-on, high-impact role where you will translate global pricing strategies into practical regional execution. With functional leadership based in Europe, you are expected to work independently, make decisions confidently, and take initiative to drive outcomes across multiple APAC markets.

Your initial focus will be the rollout and adoption of our new pricing software, supporting local teams in value-based pricing, target margin setting, and consistent execution. Over time, you will act as a trusted business partner to commercial teams identifying opportunities, leading workshops, and delivering measurable margin impact.

Key Responsibilities

  • Drive commercial performance by advising and challenging divisions on pricing topics.
  • Adapt and implement global pricing strategies across APAC markets.
  • Support value-based pricing and margin setting for newly onboarded countries.
  • Act as pricing platform administrator (price waterfalls, user onboarding, training).
  • Develop pricing analytics and insights for a B2B distribution environment.
  • Ensure alignment between HQ, divisions, and cross-functional stakeholders.

About the Team

You will report directly to the APAC CEO and functionally to the Global Pricing Manager based in Europe. You will be part of a newly formed global team, working in a matrixed environment with a high degree of autonomy, trust, and responsibility.

About You

  • Possesses a bachelor's degree or a master's degree in finance, Economics or relevant filed and comes with over 5 years of pricing experience (e.g. price waterfalls, discount structures, project pricing).
  • B2B experience in distribution, wholesale, or similar sectors.
  • Experience with CPQ tools; Power BI is a plus.
  • Strong analytical and commercial mindset with the ability to turn data into action.
  • Comfortable working independently in a regional role with remote functional leadership.
  • Proactive, hands-on, and solutions-oriented in a fast-moving environment.
  • Excellent proficiency in spoken and written English is required to support effective communication with regional, cross-functional teams. Knowledge of additional regional languages would be advantageous for business interactions.
  • Willingness to travel, especially during the initial phase.
  • The role can be based in one of our offices across the APAC region
