Job Description

We are looking for a committed and compassionate Preschool Teacher with Early Intervention experience to join our team at 8 Admiralty Street #01-13 Admirax Singapore 757438.

The Preschool Teacher will play a dual role in both supporting young children with developmental needs and teaching within inclusive preschool environments. This position involves close collaboration with educators, families and allied health professionals to deliver early, targeted support while also providing direct teaching that promotes each child's learning, development and participation.

Work Functions Include:

Plan and implement curriculum and programmes

. Plan developmentally appropriate teaching, learning and caregiving activities aligned to the relevant curricula frameworks.

. Review results of learning needs assessment.

. Guide juniors in engaging children meaningfully in accordance with the curriculum and pedagogical frameworks.

. Customise classroom management strategies.

. Design quality learning environment with developmentally appropriate learning materials and resources.

. Review health, safety, nutritional and hygiene practices in accordance with standards and procedures.

. Identify potential teaching and learning methods, tools and assistive technology based on emerging trends in the sector.

. Evaluate documentations of children's learning and development to better inform planning and teaching.

. Develop and implement Individualised Education Plans (IEPs) tailored to support learning, communication, behaviour and social-emotional goals.

. Provide direct intervention to children using developmentally appropriate and evidence-based strategies.

. Support classroom teachers in adapting learning environments and activities to promote inclusive participation.

Build stakeholder relationships and partnerships

. Execute communication strategies and policies to foster a culture of collaboration within the Centre.

. Identify opportunities to collaborate with families to ensure continuity of care and learning between the home and the Centre.

. Collaborate with educators, parents and professionals to gather information and assess each child's needs.

. Offer guidance and practical strategies to parents to help reinforce developmental support at home.

. Participate in parent-teacher conferences, team discussions and case reviews to support integrated planning and communication.

Manage family and community programmes

. Develop outreach activities to promote Centre programmes and services.

. Guide the execution of collaborative projects with families and community stakeholders.

. Evaluate family and community initiatives and programmes for improvements.

. Ensure family and community engagement efforts support both general and individualised developmental goals.

Conduct routine caregiving

. Review results of caregiving assessment.

. Review caregiving in accordance with standards and procedures.

. Evaluate routine caregiving improvement opportunities.

. Observe and monitor children's developmental progress through structured screenings and daily interactions.

. Track and document children's progress, review intervention goals regularly and adjust approaches as needed.

Uplift professional practice

. Co-develop appropriate teaching and caregiving methods based on emerging sector trends, technologies and tools.

. Analyse areas for improvements for professional practice.

. Propose improvements to professional development and service quality improvement activities.

. Promote Centre's vision, mission and values.

. Reflect on early intervention practices and contribute to improvements based on children's developmental data and professional collaboration.

Job Specifications:

. Diploma in Early Childhood Care and Education - Teaching

. Early Intervention certification or relevant training in supporting children with developmental needs is required

. Minimum 1 year of relevant work experience candidates with extensive experience may be considered for a Senior Teacher position

. Creative, loving and inspiring

. A good team player with strong emotional intelligence and communication skills

. Capable of effective classroom management in an inclusive setting
