Preschool teacher (Place and Train)

Qualifications/Experience:

. Candidate must possess at least Diploma in Any field (except ECE).

. At least 2 years of working experience in non-related (no ECE) field is required for this position

Job Description

. Plan the programme for the class according to the centre's pedagogy

. Review teaching and learning plans to meet the diverse needs of children

. Plan observation of children and prepare portfolio as part of summative assessment.

. Customise all aspects of classroom management strategies focusing on positive guidance, valuing children's rights and diversity.

. Guide assistant teachers in engaging children meaningfully in accordance with the centre's pedagogy

. Provide a safe, secure and stimulating environment for children to think, wonder and question

. Design quality learning environment with developmentally appropriate learning materials and resources

. Evaluate documentation of children's learning and development to better inform planning and teaching

. Identify potential teaching and learning methods, tools and assistive technology based on emerging trends in the sector

. Identify opportunities to collaborate with families to ensure continuity of care and learning between the home and the Centre

. Develop outreach activities to promote Centre programmes and services

Criteria

• Minimum 2 years of working experience in NON-preschool environment or industry.
• O level English a minimum B4.
• Singaporean or PR, eligible for local Diploma ECE course.
