Job Description
We are looking for a responsible and dedicated individual to join our preschool as a Cook & Cleaner, supporting both meal preparation and the upkeep of a clean, safe, and welcoming school environment. This is an essential role that directly contributes to the well-being, comfort, and daily experience of our children and staff.
Key Responsibilities
Cooking (Meal Preparation)
- Prepare and cook daily meals and snacks according to the school's menu and dietary guidelines.
- Ensure strict food safety, hygiene, and proper storage of all food items.
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen, pantry, and meal preparation areas.
- Assist with receiving, checking, and storing groceries and supplies.
- Coordinate with teachers on meal timings and any child-specific dietary needs.
Cleaning (Preschool Environment)
- Follow daily and weekly cleaning checklists and instructions from the school leadership team.
- Sweep, vacuum, and mop all floors (classrooms, common areas, offices), moving light objects where practicable.
- Dust and wipe all reachable surfaces: tables, chairs, shelves, toys, equipment, and classroom materials.
- Clean and disinfect high-touch points (door and gate handles, switches, railings, etc.).
- Maintain cleanliness of washrooms, ensuring they are hygienic and well-stocked.
- Clean and tidy lunch areas after mealtimes.
- Support general upkeep of the premises and report safety or maintenance concerns promptly.
Job Requirements
- Ability to follow verbal and written instructions clearly.
- Prior experience in cooking or cleaning (experience in a preschool/childcare environment is a bonus).
- Responsible, punctual, and able to work independently.
- Polite and positive disposition when interacting with staff and children.
- Strong availability during daytime working hours.

Salary: From SGD 1,700 per month (depending on experience)
