At Little Big Preschool, we provide a safe, nurturing, and inspiring environment where children are empowered to dream big. We are looking for a dedicated and responsible Cleaner to join our team in maintaining a clean, hygienic, and welcoming space for our children, staff, and families.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform daily cleaning of classrooms, toilets, staff pantry, and common areas
- Mop floors, vacuum carpets, wipe down surfaces, and clean windows and mirrors as required
- Wash and sanitize toilets
- Dispose of rubbish and keep waste bins clean and covered
- Assist with washing and drying of soft furnishing, towels, and cleaning cloths
- Keep outdoor play areas clean and tidy (e.g. sweeping leaves, wiping down outdoor equipment)
- Refill and maintain stocks of toilet paper, soap, paper towels, and cleaning supplies
- Support teachers with occasional housekeeping tasks (e.g. wiping shelves, cleaning up spills)
- Follow the preschool's daily and weekly cleaning schedule diligently
- Maintain a positive attitude and respect the presence of children and staff during working hours
Requirements
- Prior cleaning experience in a preschool, school, or childcare setting is preferred
- Physically fit and able to manage cleaning tasks throughout the day
- Responsible, reliable, and takes pride in maintaining a clean environment
- Able to communicate in basic English or with fellow staff
- Familiar with or willing to learn ECDA and health hygiene standards
- Must enjoy working around young children
