(Banking IT Professional Services & Enterprise Software Delivery | 80% Pre-Sales)

Location: Singapore

Type: Full-time

Target Clients: Local banks (Singapore)

Language: English + Chinese (Mandarin)

Role Summary

We are looking for a Pre-Sales with Sales sensitive professional to support business growth within Singapore local banks, concentrating on IT professional services and enterprise-scale software delivery engagements.

This role is approximately 80% pre-sales and solutioning, and 20% sales/account support. It is ideal for candidates with a software engineering background, understanding of Agile and enterprise delivery models, and early exposure to client-facing or pre-sales activities.

You will work closely with solution architects, delivery managers, and engineering teams to shape solutions for large, complex banking programs, while supporting senior sales leads in opportunity progression and deal closure.

Key Responsibilities

Pre-Sales & Solutioning (80%)

  • Partially lead and support pre-sales activities for banking IT professional services and SI engagements.
  • Participate in customer discovery to understand enterprise business objectives, legacy platforms, integration complexity, delivery constraints, and regulatory expectations.
  • Assist in shaping enterprise-scale software delivery solutions, including:
  • Delivery methodology (Agile, hybrid, scaled Agile)
  • Scope definition and assumptions
  • High-level architecture and integration approach
  • Effort estimation, delivery timeline, and staffing model (multi-squad / multi-vendor)
  • Coordinate with architects, engineering leads, project managers, and delivery leaders to validate solution feasibility, dependencies, risks, and delivery plans.
  • Prepare solution proposals, statements of work (SOW), and pricing inputs for large and complex delivery programs.
  • Support and own RFI/RFP responses, including solution narratives, compliance matrices, and delivery methodology sections.
  • Prepare and deliver solution presentations, proposal walkthroughs, and capability decks to IT, architecture, and PMO stakeholders.
  • Support handover from pre-sales to delivery, ensuring clarity on scope, assumptions, risks, and success criteria.

Sales & Account Support (20%)

  • Support senior sales leads in account coverage and opportunity management for local banking clients.
  • Maintain pipeline updates, meeting notes, and forecasts; track follow-ups and internal actions.
  • Assist with ongoing account development, including change requests, extensions, and new workstreams within existing enterprise programs.
  • Support commercial discussions by providing delivery input, estimates, and scope clarifications.

Must-Have Requirements

  • Singapore Citizen / PR.
  • Software engineering background (education and/or hands-on experience) with ability to understand:
  • Bank IT landscape & Enterprise architecture
  • Different bank IT system's architectures
  • End-to-end SDLC for large-scale systems integration
  • Agile delivery knowledge:
  • Agile methodologies
  • Resources planning & deliverables & timeline
  • 12 years of experience (Must-have) in pre-sales, solution consulting, delivery consulting, or client-facing roles in IT services, SI, or software companies.
  • Comfortable engaging banking IT stakeholders (engineering leads, architects, PMO, procurement).
  • Strong communication skills in English and Chinese (Mandarin) for client discussions and documentation.

Preferred / Advantage

  • Exposure to enterprise or large-scale software delivery (multi-team, long-running programs).
  • Experience in banking or financial services technology environments.
  • Hands-on experience supporting estimation and scoping for enterprise delivery work.
  • Familiarity with structured sales processes, CRM tools, and proposal management.
