Role Purpose

The POM Front-End Integration Lead is the technical and strategic owner of upstream Precision Overmold (POM) integration. This role is accountable for translating the Sliver and EMC into POM - A precision overmolded Sliver. This position serves as the single-threaded front-end integration leader, setting process direction, technical standards, and cross-functional alignment for POM.

The individual will collaborate closely with upstream in ensuring incoming Sliver quality meeting the needs of the POM work center.

Being an Integration lead, the engineer will be accountable to collaborate with our Corvallis partner to improve the yield performance of Singapore POM consistently.

Key Responsibilities

1. Front-End POM Integration Ownership

• Act as single-threaded owner for upstream POM integration from proto through MR.

• Define integration strategy, scope, and technical direction for front-end POM processes.

• Ensure alignment between product design, tooling capability, materials, and process windows.

2. Overmold Process & Tooling Leadership

• Serve as technical authority for TOWA Overmold processes and tooling systems.

• Lead mold tuning, buy-off, qualification, and process window definition.

• Establish tooling standards and best practices to ensure manufacturability and repeatability.

3. Yield Establishment & Risk Prevention

• Own first-pass yield (FPY) establishment and yield ramp for new products and CR transitions.

• Proactively identify and mitigate manufacturability and yield risks before downstream release.

4. Cost Reduction & Design for Manufacturability

• Lead front-end POM workstream for die-shrink and cost-reduction (CR) programs.

• Ensure CR and design changes are production-ready without introducing downstream yield debt.

• Provide DFM / DFX leadership early in the development lifecycle of ALo CISS.

5. Cross-Functional & Cross-Site Leadership

• Lead cross-functional alignment across Engineering, Operations, Quality, and Supply Chain.

• Drive cross-site front-end integration consistency and readiness across factories.

• Serve as the escalation and decision point for front-end POM integration risks.

6. Digital, Analytics & Capability Building

• Champion adoption of advanced analytics and AI to accelerate yield learning and decision-making.

• Define front-end integration metrics, dashboards, and technical review forums

• Mentor and develop POM integration engineers and module owners.
