This hub is central to our worldwide commercialization operations, serving as the core for sales activities, remote assistance for surgical teams, in-depth market intelligence analytics, and contribute to the refinement of our next-generation surgical robotics platform.

The Mission
As our first Pre-Sales Specialist for global market, you will be the primary clinical and technical face of Tuodao Medical for the endoscopy surgical robotic system. You will architect the solutions for complex capital sales, directly influencing the adoption of minimally invasive robotic surgery. Your deep clinical credibility and technical mastery will drive the adoption of our platform in top-tier hospitals worldwide. Your goal is to secure technical wins during the bidding process and ensure clinical confidence during hospital evaluations.
Key Responsibilities
Clinical Discovery & Solution Design (40%)
- Conduct in-depth clinical workflow analyses with Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs), surgeons, OR nurses, and hospital administration to identify needs and build a compelling value proposition.
- Design and lead product presentations, live demonstrations that showcase clinical superiority and address specific surgical challenges.
- Develop tailored financial models (ROI, TCO analyses) and business cases for hospital management and procurement committees.
- Master the system's architecture (e.g., motorized boom, 3D vision chain, and master-slave manipulators), system configuration, workflow integration and clinical applications to answer deep technical queries from potential customers.
Commercial Strategy & Support (35%)
- Act as the Subject Matter Expert (SME) for global tenders, RFPs and technical documentation.
- Prepare and deliver high-level technical presentations, tender responses (RFI/RFP), and coordinate clinical evaluation sites.
- Draft technical responses for specifications (e.g., arm degrees of freedom, latency, image resolution, and accessory lifespans).
- Gather and synthesize competitive intelligence, providing strategic feedback to HQ on product positioning and development priorities.
- Maintain an in-depth understanding of the da Vinci Xi, competitors and other emerging platforms to highlight our system's unique advantages.
- Partner closely with the Sales to identify opportunities, qualify leads, develop tailored strategies, manage the technical sales cycle, and overcome clinical objections.
Market Development & Education (25%)
- Train and certify the commercial team on clinical messaging, product capabilities, and competitive differentiation.
- Build and nurture relationships with KOLs to support research publications, conference presentations, and advocacy.
- Work closely with regulatory, service and product development team to ensure smooth on-boarding and customer support.
- Represent Tuodao Medical at medical conferences, exhibitions, training events etc.
Qualifications & Requirements
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Biomedical Engineering, Robotics, Biology or related clinical field, or with equivalent clinical exposure. An advanced degree (e.g. MBA) is a plus.
- Minimum of 3 - 5 years in a pre-sales (as Clinical Specialist, Solutions Consultant) or senior capital equipment sales role within the medical device industry.
- Proven experience with capital sales of laparoscopic surgical robotic systems, or surgical robotics or comparable high-value OR equipment.
- Deep understanding of hospital procurement processes, funding pathways, and the economic drivers in healthcare systems.
- Exceptional presentation and communication skills, fluent in English and Chinese is essential.
- Familiarity with regulatory frameworks (ISO, IEC, ANVISA etc) is a plus.
- Willingness to travel 50-70% for customer visits, exhibitions and training.
