Position description
The Pre-Sales Manager/Solutions Architect is responsible for identifying customer technical requirements, translating them into fit for purpose solutions, fitting technical capabilities within the DTGB organization. Additionally, the Pre-Sales Manager/Solutions Architect interfaces with the DTGBS organization to determine cost of (portfolio) components and Service Delivery Manager to determine customer pricing. A Pre-Sales Manager/Solutions Architect is aware of the DTGBS portfolio, new technologies on the Telecommunications market space and capable to interact with customer on multiple levels. The role would have some elements of Service Delivery activities included in the job scope including, holding SLA review meetings with customers on a regular basis.
Responsibilities
In your position you are responsible for the following tasks:
- Ownership of the architectural design through the initial phases of the design (request, concept and high level).
- Hand-over the design after customer order for detailed phases of the design to delivery management.
- Interact with Bid Managers, Sales Consultants, Enterprise Architects and Production locally and internationally within DTBGS, customers and suppliers.
- The ability to form and maintain an excellent relationship and build and maintain a trusted business advisor status with the customer, while fostering strong internal relationships with Production and Sales.
- Able to present multiple solutions and articulate the chosen solution(s) with confidence and influence to customers, consultants, client representatives on all management levels as well as suppliers.
- Anticipating internal and external business influences and uses knowledge and skill to focus work and drive improvements.
- Demonstrate ongoing familiarity with Market trends.
- Assuming responsibility for performing and complying with service level agreements through continuous monitoring of the KPIs and for initiating corrective actions.
- Highlighting the delivery performance in terms of professionality, quality, and costs, and agreeing quality and efficiency improvement measures.
- Any other tasks as assigned.
Position Requirements
- Bachelor or Master's degree, 5-10 years of Pre-Sales or Solution Architecture experience, fluency in English.
- Broad level of knowledge across enterprise TC technologies, ideally will have depth of experience in one or more specialist enterprise technologies.
- Commercially aware, managing costs on own projects and across team and very large projects through cost and price optimization by leveraging LBU resources and TC International colleagues.
- Able to plan work activities over medium and long term to support strategic activities and initiatives.
- Able to present complex ideas, concepts and technical solutions to high level to non-technical audiences.
- Able to anticipate potential objections and prepares case accordingly.
- Applies knowledge and skills to deal with complex problems, extending and coordinating work that may extend beyond own area of knowledge and expertise.
- Creative and possess strong interpersonal skills and intercultural collaboration skills.
- Ensuring the entire service delivery process the best possible use and performance of the system for the customer, managing the entire life cycle of a service.
- Acting as lead incident, lead problem, and escalation manager, coordinating solutions to problems and settling disputes with relevant functional units.
Qualifications and Technical Requirements:
- Several years of experience in international telecommunication business environment, overall deep knowledge of MPLS and SD WAN environment.
- Experience in customer facing solutions architecture
- Ideally holds industry qualifications (e.g. TOGAF, PMI, Prince2, ITIL, soft skill courses and training, etc)
- Proven broad level knowledge of enterprise technologies such as: Virtualization technologies, VoIP and IPT technologies, (SD)WAN, (SD)LAN, (SD)MAN, Security and security concepts (Firewalls, DMZs, etc), HA and DR approaches, MPLS and Point to Point Circuit Design, Managed Network Solutions (Firewall, Routers, switches, Load Balancers), WAN Management solutions, Network Security Services (Network Intrusion Detection, Remote Access, DMZ)
