We are seeking a PR & Community Manager to steward TPC's brand narrative and strengthen its presence across media, partners, and the wider ecosystem. This role plays a critical part in shaping how TPC's purpose, leadership, and impact are communicated externally, while also supporting internal alignment and cultural coherence.
Reporting to the Head, Group Branding & Communications, the role will lead public relations strategy, media engagement, executive thought leadership positioning, and community relationship building across TPC and its ecosystem of businesses, foundations, and partners.
Key Responsibilities
Brand Communications & PR Strategy
- Develop and execute an integrated external communications and PR strategy aligned with TPC's brand, purpose, and worldview.
- Ensure consistent and coherent messaging across all earned, owned, and shared channels.
- Translate organisational priorities and initiatives into clear, compelling narratives.
Media Relations & Public Relations
- Build and maintain strong relationships with journalists, media outlets, and PR partners across key markets.
- Lead proactive PR outreach, media pitching, interviews, and press engagements.
- Prepare press releases, statements, briefing notes, and manage media responses, including high‑stakes or sensitive matters.
Executive & Thought Leadership Positioning
- Shape narratives, messaging frameworks, and visibility platforms for senior leaders.
- Support leadership participation in interviews, panels, conferences, and global forums.
- Prepare leaders with speaker briefs, talking points, and messaging kits to ensure clarity and consistency.
Community & Ecosystem Engagement
- Build and nurture relationships with partners, collaborators, thought leaders, and ecosystem allies.
- Strengthen collective storytelling and amplify impact through joint narratives and initiatives.
- Operate and contribute to ecosystem communication flows that support collaboration and co‑creation.
Internal Communications & Cultural Alignment
- Work closely with internal teams such as Culture & Community and People & Organisation to support internal communications.
- Craft narratives that reinforce shared values, cultural alignment, and organisational clarity.
- Support internal platforms such as townhalls, leadership briefings, and internal updates.
Campaigns, Events & Brand Moments
- Lead or support communications planning for key initiatives and brand moments (e.g. global forums, impact events, ecosystem launches).
- Coordinate messaging and PR workflows across teams to ensure unified expression.
Reputation & Performance Monitoring
- Track media coverage, sentiment, narrative uptake, and PR effectiveness.
- Maintain reporting dashboards and provide insights to continuously refine communications strategies.
- Identify and help mitigate potential reputational risks.
Job Requirements
Experience & Skills
- 6-10 years of relevant experience in public relations, corporate communications, branding, ESG/sustainability communications, or impact‑related marketing.
- Proven track record in developing and implementing corporate PR and communications strategies.
- Strong experience managing media relations, press outreach, interviews, and PR events.
- Experience supporting senior leadership communications and thought leadership positioning.
- Ability to deliver integrated campaigns across PR, content, events, and stakeholder communications.
- Experience working with cross‑functional and cross‑border teams.
- Strong analytical skills to interpret media trends, stakeholder expectations, and reputation drivers.
- Experience managing PR or communications budgets is an advantage.
Education
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Public Relations, Communications, Marketing, Journalism, Branding, Sustainability Communications, or a related field.
- Additional training or certification in ESG, sustainability, or leadership communications is a plus.
Language & Personal Attributes
- Full professional proficiency in English.
- Working proficiency in Mandarin/Chinese is a strong advantage.
