Power Trader, APAC
Our client is a well-capitalized trading firm looking to add an experienced Japan Power Trader to its growing team.
Power Trader responsibilities;
- Develop and execute trading strategies across JEPX (spot, day-ahead, forward markets)
- Identify pricing inefficiencies across regions, products, and time horizons
- Manage risk and PnL, with a strong focus on disciplined execution
- Leverage fundamentals (supply/demand, weather, outages) alongside quantitative models
- Collaborate with analytics and fundamentals teams to enhance trading performance
Power Trader requirements;
- Proven track record trading Japanese power markets
- Strong understanding of JEPX structure, regulations, and market dynamics
- Experience across spot and forward products
- Strong analytical and quantitative skillset
- Entrepreneurial mindset with the ability to take ownership of risk
