Role Overview
The Power Platform Engineer will be responsible for designing, developing, and deploying low-code solutions using Microsoft Power Platform to drive process transformation, automation, and operational efficiency within corporate banking operations (e.g., payments, trade finance, lending, KYC/AML, reconciliations).
The role will leverage AI-powered capabilities (Copilot for Power Platform) to accelerate solution delivery, improve user productivity, and enable intelligent automation.
Key Responsibilities
1. Process Transformation &Automation
- Participate in workshops to identify automation opportunities in corporate banking processes
- Design and implement solutions using:
- Power Apps (Canvas & Model-driven)
- Power Automate (Cloud & Desktop flows)
- Power Virtual Agents / Copilot Studio
- Optimize workflows for:
- Straight-through processing (STP)
- Reduced manual interventions
- Improved turnaround times and SLA adherence
2. Solution Design & Development
- Develop scalable enterprise-grade applications aligned with banking architecture
- Integrate Power Platform solutions with:
- Core banking systems
- Payment systems (SWIFT, RTGS, ISO 20022)
- CRM (Dynamics 365)
- Data platforms (Azure, SQL, Dataverse)
- Design reusable components, connectors, and APIs
3. AI & Copilot Enablement
- Leverage Copilot in Power Apps and Power Automate for rapid app and flow development
- Build AI-assisted workflows, including:
- Document processing (invoices, trade documents)
- Intelligent approvals
- Natural language-driven automation
- Implement Copilot Studio (Power Virtual Agents) for conversational banking use cases:
- Operations query handling
- Customer service automation
- Ensure governance and responsible AI practices in all Copilot-enabled solutions
4. Data & Reporting
- Design data models using Dataverse
- Develop dashboards using Power BI for:
- Operational KPIs
- Exception tracking
- Process performance metrics
- Ensure data quality, consistency, and secure access
5. Governance, Security & Compliance
- Implement Power Platform CoE best practices
- Ensure solutions comply with:
- Banking regulations (KYC, AML, audit requirements)
- Data privacy standards
- Manage environments, DLP policies, and access controls
- Support audit, risk, and compliance reporting
6. Stakeholder Engagement
- Work closely with:
- Business operations teams (Payments, Trade Finance, Lending)
- Risk & Compliance teams
- IT and Architecture teams
- Conduct workshops, process discovery sessions, and user training
- Translate business requirements into technical solutions
Required Skills & Experience
Core Technical Skills
- Strong experience in:
- Power Apps (Canvas & Model-driven apps)
- Power Automate (RPA + Cloud flows)
- Dataverse
- Experience in API integrations, REST services
- Familiarity with Azure (Functions, Logic Apps, Service Bus)
- Working knowledge of Power BI
AI / Copilot Skills (Preferred)
- Hands-on experience with:
- Copilot in Power Apps / Power Automate
- Copilot Studio / Power Virtual Agents
- Ability to design prompt-driven workflows and AI-assisted automation
- Understanding of AI governance and responsible AI practices
Domain Experience
- Experience in Corporate Banking Operations, including:
- Payments processing
- Trade finance lifecycle
- Loan origination/servicing
- KYC / AML processes
- Reconciliation and exception handling

Preferred Qualifications
- Microsoft Certifications:
- PL-100 / PL-200 / PL-400 (Power Platform)

- Experience in large-scale process transformation programs
- Exposure to banking regulatory frameworks
