About the Role
The role involves overseeing the operational integrity of the Power Supply system, ensuring compliance with regulations, and managing maintenance activities to meet performance targets.
Responsibilities
- Liaise with external agencies on all matters pertaining to JRL Power Supply system and equipment
- Meeting operational targets for availability and reliability of Power Supply
- Ensure all equipment is operated and maintained in accordance with manufacturer's recommendations and in compliance with legislative requirements
- Procure all necessary tools, spares and services pertaining to the operation of the system
- Develop and implement cost effective comprehensive maintenance programs
- Prepare and review and manage maintenance contracts (LTSS, External/Utilities Contracts). Certify outsourced maintenance contractor's work, invoices, purchase orders and variation orders
- Responsible for the formulation of asset management plans, preparation of associated maintenance budgets and asset performance
- Ensure safe power arrangement for mainline and depot track access and works activities
- Monitor equipment failure trend and develop preventive solutions
- Perform equipment obsolescence and alternate spare part study
- Develop and maintain Work Instructions and procedures
- Ensure safe work and access for maintenance activities
- Carry out maintenance incident/accident investigation
- Responsible for the management of staff including participation in selection, discipline and performance review processes
- Participate in troubleshooting, testing and commissioning of equipment
- Implement and maintain Quality Management System
- Undertake tasks and projects as assigned by superior
Requirements
Degree in Electrical Engineering from a recognized by Professional Engineer Board,
Singapore / Diploma in Electrical Engineering
Fresh graduate or preferably with relevant working experience in maintenance of HV, LV
and DC traction power equipment, preferably in a rail transportation environment
