Role Overview:
Power BI report development and data modelling will be the primary focus of this role. You will bridge the gap between data engineering and business intelligence, blending robust data transformation with high-end visualization and advanced DAX calculations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Data Engineering & Transformation: Connect to various data sources, import, and transform complex data to build robust Business Intelligence pipelines.
- Reporting & Visualization: Build Analysis Services reporting models. Develop interactive visual reports, KPI scorecards, and comprehensive dashboards using Power BI.
- Requirement Analysis: Understand business requirements to define functional specifications for reporting applications. Apply analytical thinking to translate raw data into informative, actionable reports and visuals.
- Data Modeling: Develop tabular and multidimensional models that are highly compatible with enterprise data warehouse standards.
- Security Implementation: Implement Row-Level Security (RLS) on data and design robust application security layer models within Power BI.
Requirements & Qualifications:
- Experience: 3+ years of experience in data-specific roles with a strong, hands-on grip over data analytics and data engineering.
- Technical Stack: Deep expertise in reporting, data modelling, and visualization using Power BI & SQL Server
- DAX Mastery: Advanced proficiency in crafting complex DAX queries in Power BI Desktop. Expert in utilizing advanced-level calculations on large datasets.
- Communication Skills: Outstanding interpersonal, verbal, and written communication etiquette. Must be able to effectively discuss requirements and translate technical concepts with both client stakeholders and internal teams.
- Work Ethic: Proven ability to work collaboratively in a team environment, manage concurrent demands, and deliver high-quality results under pressure.
