Overview
In this role, you will be part of the Asset Management team and be involved in post-investment value creation (PMI: Post-Merger Integration).
You will work closely with portfolio companies to strengthen governance and improve operational structures, with the ultimate goal of exiting to a strategic buyer (business company) with a long-term holding perspective.
Responsibilities
- Support post-investment PMI (Post-Merger Integration) activities
- Establish and strengthen internal controls and corporate governance frameworks
- Improve financial and operational structures (including reviewing the status of BS/PL management)
- Support the setup and monitoring of board governance and management structures
- Collaborate with portfolio companies to drive value creation and prepare for exit
Requirements
- Approximately 3-4 years of relevant experience in consulting firms (PMI / strategy / business improvement), Big4, corporate M&A / investment divisions, trading companies (investment / business management), or investment banking
- Proficiency in Japanese language at business level for liaising with Japanese-speaking clients and stakeholders
- Experience or understanding of M&A, PMI, and investment-related work, with a strong interest in business improvement and portfolio management
- Ability to handle governance and operational tasks, including detailed hands-on work
- Strong interest in both investment and business operations, with a willingness to engage in practical, operations-oriented work
