Job Description

The shipping industry moves on precision, and we are looking for a dedicated professional to manage our end-to-end post-fixture operations. This role is critical in ensuring the commercial integrity of our fleet by managing complex billing, streamlining collections, and resolving intricate charterer disputes. You will have the opportunity to work across diverse vessel types including tankers, gas carriers, and dry bulk, playing a vital role in protecting the organization's commercial interests.

Responsibilities

  • Manage end-to-end post-fixture operations including freight and hire invoicing.
  • Monitor vessel schedules and payment timelines to ensure timely receipt of funds.
  • Calculate and substantiate voyage-related claims such as laytime, deviation, and heating.
  • Maintain accurate records within IMOS and process broker commissions in line with agreements.
  • Track receivables and proactively escalate overdue accounts to minimize financial exposure.
  • Prepare treasury payment instructions for bareboat vessels and match receipts against invoices.
  • Review charterer counters and prepare technical arguments to support the owner's position.
  • Lead negotiations with charterers to resolve disputes and provide settlement strategies.
  • Coordinate with chartering, compliance, and accounting departments to streamline internal workflows.
  • Ensure all claims are submitted within contractual time-bar limits through regular voyage reviews.

Requirements

  • Degree or diploma in maritime studies, shipping, logistics, or accountancy.
  • Minimum of three years of experience in post-fixture or commercial operations.
  • Proven ability to interpret and apply complex charterparty terms and clauses.
  • Proficiency in IMOS and advanced Microsoft Excel for data validation and reporting.
  • Demonstrated capability in preparing and substantiating complex maritime claims.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a focus on attention to detail.
  • Fluent written and spoken English communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
