Roles & Responsibilities
Investment Strategy & Portfolio Construction
- Develop and implement investment strategies.
- Identify investment opportunities across asset classes (equities, fixed income).
- Manage diversified portfolios, balancing risk and return objectives.
- Collaborate closely with the teams to translate investment views and strategies into actionable portfolio allocations.
Research & Analysis
- Conduct fundamental and quantitative analysis to support investment decisions.
- Monitor macroeconomic trends, market developments, and sector performance.
- Present recommendations on portfolio opposition and sizing to Senior Management and Investment Committee.
Performance Monitoring
- Monitor portfolio performance and risk, ensuring consistency with investment objectives and guidelines.
- Prepare bi-weekly market update and performance reports and insights for stakeholders
- Recommend tactical adjustments based on market conditions and portfolio performance.
Compliance & Governance
- Ensure all investment management activities comply with internal policies, regulatory requirements (e.g., MAS guidelines), and industry best practices.
- Document and maintain investment decisions for internal audit purposes
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field
- Minimum 10+ years of experience in equities and fixed income investment management.
- Demonstrated ability to independently conduct asset allocation, portfolio construction and risk hedging.
- Experience working in mid- to large-sized financial institution such as banks, asset management firms, pension or provident fund managers, or sovereign wealth funds, is preferred.
- Familiar with established investment research frameworks, compliance processes and risk management systems.
- Candidates with GIPS-compliant performance records or third-party audited track records is preferred.
- Demonstrated market insight and cross-cycle analytical capability, with ability to independently undertake investment decision-making.
- Proficient in Bloomberg PORT or BlackRock Aladdin
