- Initiate, perform and support key developments of products, materials, processes, technology modules and methods within the framework of feasibility studies, business cases and/or projects, incl. experimental work and coordination of lab, pilot or production trials.
- Continuously ensure and drive the development of knowledge within specific sub technology field (width & depth).
- Contribute to and initiate invention disclosures.
- Perform literature and patent searches in consultation with the related responsible persons, support FTO analysis from a technological perspective.
- Provide input to the relevant Technology Roadmap(s) while making investment recommendations for technology development.
- Actively build up and maintain internal and external networks, with the focus on technological aspects incl. scouting and screening of new raw materials (e.g. suppliers, institutions, academia).
- Support recruiting and technical guidance of students or apprentices.
Qualification
- Educational level & Certifications
- PhD degree in Science or Engineering disciplineor Master degree or Degree in Science or Engineering or in discipline with at least 3 years of experience.
2. Experiences
- Experience in manufacturing processes of polymeric films and functional layers (e.g. organic solutions and dispersions).
- Work with solvents and flammable and toxic materials.
- Work in chemical labs (preferably in clean room environment).
- Use of analytical lab equipment for material property determination (e.g. rheology and microscopy).
- Preferably work experience with adhesives or pressure sensitive adhesives.
