Introduction

 

Temasek undertakes an ecosystem development approach to build new platforms and transform existing businesses for sustainable growth and value creation. This involves strong collaboration with various external stakeholders to enhance our network of partners and facilitate cooperation to catalyse building of future growth sectors in Singapore.  

 
In support of ecosystem development efforts, the Ecosystem Enablement Team is responsible for forging strategic partnerships and advancing Temasek's policy interests with government and other relevant stakeholders in Singapore. The Ecosystem Enablement team works closely with investment/enterprise development teams to identify public policies that impact Temasek's business interests, engages key stakeholders including government officials, regulators, and trade unions to advocate for our value proposition, as well as promote collaboration in the building of new economy enterprises and ecosystems in Singapore. 

Responsibilities

 

 

  • Identify and map key policy stakeholders (including political office holders, government officials/regulators and trade unions) who can/will influence Temasek's projects 
  • Develop engagement strategies to reach out and build strategic relationships with key stakeholders to strengthen Temasek's network of partners 
  • Support research efforts and provide assessments on strategic and policy issues relating to energy, climate change and sustainability, digital and innovation, healthcare and biomedical sciences, agrifood, transport and urban solutions, manpower and workforce development, engaging small and medium enterprises in relation to Temasek's ecosystem, etc. 
  • Formulate and execute plans to address strategic issues that have an impact on Temasek's business interests, e.g. political/regulatory issues relating to ecosystem building projects and industrial relations matters related to our portfolio companies in Singapore 
  • Organise and manage internal/external meetings, including the preparation of meeting briefs and presentations 
  • Plan, organise and manage engagement and networking platforms 
  • Manage team's relationship management database

Requirements

 

  • Degree in International Relations, Public Policy, Law, Business Management, Economics, Sociology, Environmental Sciences or related fields 
  • Relevant experience in government/trade relations or public policy, with good knowledge of protocol management would be a plus
  • Able to commit full-time for a minimum of 20 weeks. Interns who are able to commit to a full-time (5 days/week) or a minimum of part-time (4 days/week) internship is strongly preferred.
