Job Description

Who we are

Pioneering workers rights since 1961, the National Trades Union Congress (NTUC) unites 59 trade unions, seven trade associations, 12 social enterprises, and other enterprise partners as we create better lives for workers here in Singapore.

Our work cuts across the different ages and stages of life as we walk the ground and respond to everyday needs. Through initiatives that protect our workers at work, transform careers, manage the cost of living, help with financial resilience and health, and nurture relationships for families, we champion every worker through every touch point as we work towards better wages, welfare, and work prospects.

Because Every Worker Matters.

About the job

This role resides in the Policy department in NTUC which is responsible to provide advice to the senior leadership on policies from the labour perspective and guide NTUC's positions and policies on moving the 4Ps (Protection, Placement, Progression, and Privileges), and enhancing workers wages, welfare, and work prospects (3Ws).

In this role, you will work with other Business Units (BUs) within NTUC and play an important role to formulate, analyse, and influence government policymaking with an impact on the livelihoods of workers. You are required to monitor the economic outlook and developments in the labour market and gather ground feedback from unionised and non-unionised sectors. Additionally, you are required to prepare reports and analyse 3rd party data to derive meaningful information to inform internal stakeholders and work with Government agencies to lobby and tailor help schemes to meet the needs of the workers.

Requirements:

  • University degree in Political Science, Economics, Law or any other related fields.
  • A self-starter with keen interest to conduct policy and data analysis.
  • Experience in economic analysis would be a plus, but not essential.
  • Good analytical, written, and verbal communication skills.
  • Able to engage multiple stakeholders, with good interpersonal skills.
  • Good team player.
  • At least 2 years of working experience.

Only shortlisted candidates will be contacted.
