PMO Analyst / PMO Executive Job Description
Overview
The PMO Analyst supports the Project Management Office in driving governance, ensuring project documentation accuracy, and enabling smooth execution of programme and project activities. This role works closely with Project Managers, senior stakeholders, and cross-functional teams to ensure alignment, reporting accuracy, and compliance with organisational standards.
Key Responsibilities
Project Governance & Support
- Support Project Managers with project planning, scheduling, and coordination.
- Track project milestones, deliverables, risks, and issues, ensuring updates are timely and accurate.
- Ensure projects adhere to governance frameworks, templates, policies, and compliance requirements.
- Maintain and update project documentation (RAID logs, project plans, change requests, decision logs, etc.).
Reporting & Analytics
- Prepare weekly/monthly status reports, dashboards, and management packs for steering committees.
- Consolidate project KPIs, budgets, and progress updates across multiple workstreams.
- Monitor resource utilisation, financials, and project performance metrics.
Stakeholder Management
- Coordinate meetings, prepare agendas, take minutes, and track action items.
- Liaise with cross-functional teams to gather updates and ensure follow-through on tasks.
- Assist PMs and Programme Managers in facilitating workshops, reviews, and governance forums.
Process & Continuous Improvement
- Support standardisation of project management methodologies, templates, and best practices.
- Identify gaps and propose improvements to optimise project delivery processes.
- Assist with audits, quality checks, and PMO maturity initiatives.
