Serve as the primary point of contact for customers, ensuring clear communication and taking ownership to minimize system downtime.
Systematically troubleshoot, analyze, and resolve issues, while developing, modifying, and maintaining PLC programs for baggage handling system controls.
Conduct routine maintenance, diagnostics, and monitoring of control systems, responding promptly to alarms, faults, and anomalies.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate control systems with other components and assist in evaluating and implementing system upgrades.
Ensure adherence to safety regulations, maintain accurate records of PLC programs, configurations, and maintenance activities.
Train and guide operational and maintenance teams, and be available for on-call duties to address critical system failures outside of regular working hours.
Configure and document component-level devices, perform commissioning tests, and prepare relevant documentation such as checklists, test plans, and functional specifications.
Lead project execution, including on-site configuration, commissioning, testing, and monitoring the quality of control system deliverables, driving continuous improvements (including night work if necessary).
About the Requirements:
Bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering, Automation, Instrumentation, Manufacturing, or a related field.
Ideally, a solid understanding of IT service management practices (ITIL v3/v4).
At least 5 years of experience in PLC programming and control systems, preferably in the baggage handling or airport industry.
Proficiency in Siemens controls programming, software, and hardware.
Expertise in PLC programming languages such as Ladder Logic and Structured Text.
Basic understanding of OT software development and maintenance.
In-depth knowledge of control system hardware, including PLCs, HMIs, and SCADA systems.
Familiarity with industry standards and safety regulations.
Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to perform under pressure.
Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate in team settings.
Experience managing software version control.
Solid experience with the Siemens S7 series platform.
Background in electrical controls hardware design and communication networks.
Proficient in English communication.
Assertive, proactive team player with a flexible approach to working hours, including availability for 24/7 operational support as needed.
