Our client is a Marine and Offshore Industry. Due to business needs, they are now recruiting a PLC Control Engineer to be part of their Team for ongoing transformation projects. They are located in the West - easily accessible.
Responsibilities:
- Design and develop green marine solutions aligned with the company's sustainability and business objectives
- Set up and manage test laboratories to facilitate development, experimentation, and validation of electrical propulsion systems.
- Develop PLC software and algorithms for advanced marine electrical propulsion solutions.
- Produce comprehensive documentation, including software architecture, logic flow, test procedures, quality control protocols, and other supporting materials.
- Participate in and support vessel commissioning activities for systems with similar configurations.
Requirements:
- Min engineering degree in relevant discipline
- Basic experience in software development skills particularly in equipment controls
- Knowledge in power electronics, motor drives, marine propulsion systems is a plus
