Job description:
The incumbent will primarily be working with Platform lead. He will be jointly responsible for the IT Infrastructure Platform & Operations function in NETS which includes Data Center infrastructure (Servers, Storage, Backup) & Cloud Platform management.
We are seeking a highly skilled and proactive Wintel/VMware Engineer with deep expertise in VMware virtualization technologies, Windows Server infrastructure, and automation (Powershell)scripting. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing, maintaining, and optimizing our Windows-based environments, ensuring high availability, performance, and security. This role involves troubleshooting complex issues, driving automation, ensuring system reliability, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to support business operations.
- Design, deploy, and manage VMware ESXi, vCenter, vSAN, Aria Operations, VCF and virtual machines.
- Provide Level 3 support for VMware vSphere, ESXi, vCenter, vSAN, VCF, and windows platforms.
- Administer and troubleshoot Windows Server 2016/2019/2022/2025, including:
- Active Directory (AD)
- Domain Name System (DNS)
- Dynamic Host Configuration Protocol (DHCP)
- Group Policy (GPO)
- Clustering
- SMTP relay services (Postfix, IIS SMTP)
- Implement and maintain Automation scripts using PowerShell and Ansible for configuration management and operational tasks.
- Perform system upgrades, patching, and performance tuning.
- Provide support for IBM connect direct and Progress WS_FTP
- Configure, monitor and troubleshoot SMTP relay services for application-to-application and application-to-email communications.
- Administer email delivery security (SPK, DKIM, DMARC compliance)
- Monitor system health and respond to incidents and service requests.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support infrastructure projects and initiatives.
- Collaborate with security teams to ensure compliance with financial regulatory standards (e.g., MAS, PCI-DSS)
- Maintain documentation for systems, processes, and procedures.
- Participate in on-call rotation for critical Incident support
Requirements:
- Degree in computer science/Information Technology
- Minimum 5+ years of experience in IT Infrastructure Engineer role supporting critical system
- Experienced in developing Infrastructure Automation Engineer using Ansible and shell scripting.
- Level 3 technical knowledge in Microsoft Windows, VMware and Active Directory
- Technical skills with experience in fast pace, large, complex environments.
- Knowledge in scripting languages such as PowerShell, Shell & Python have added advantages.
