Platform (PaaS/CaaS) Infrastructure Lead

About the Role

Are you an experienced Platform Infrastructure Lead passionate about driving operational excellence in enterprise-grade containerized environments We are looking for a technical leader to manage, optimize, and support our PaaS/CaaS infrastructure and enterprise COTS application stack above the hypervisor layer.

In this role, you will take ownership of mission-critical Kubernetes platforms, ensure robust security compliance, and direct a high-performing team of 4–6 infrastructure engineers supporting enterprise applications.

Key Responsibilities

• Team Leadership & Operations: Lead, mentor, and direct a team of 4–6 infrastructure engineers while driving operational excellence, continuous process improvements, and SLA adherence.
• Platform & Container Management: Manage and operate enterprise Kubernetes and container platform environments (Docker, Podman) supporting high-availability workloads.
• COTS & Integration Administration: Install, configure, administer, and troubleshoot core enterprise platforms, including MongoDB, MS SQL Server, Nginx, Apache HTTP Server, IBM MQ, MQTT, and ArcGIS.
• Incident & Lifecycle Operations: Lead incident management, service requests, change management, and Root Cause Analysis (RCA). Oversee OS hardening, golden image compliance, vulnerability remediation, and DR/BCP testing.
• Observability & Optimization: Implement, configure, and maintain monitoring, logging, and alerting systems (Grafana, Prometheus, ELK, eG Enterprise). Drive capacity planning and performance tuning.
• Stakeholder Collaboration: Work closely with application and Authority Furnished Equipment (AFE) teams to ensure seamless system integration and platform readiness.

Requirements

• Citizenship: Singaporean (Mandatory due to security environment requirements).
• Education: Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, IT, Computer Engineering, or related fields.
• Experience: 6+ years (preferably 7–10 years) in enterprise infrastructure, platform operations, or systems engineering.
• Container Technologies: Strong hands-on experience in Kubernetes, Docker, and Podman.
• System Administration & Enterprise Messaging: Advanced Linux system administration, OS hardening, and messaging technologies (IBM MQ, MQTT, Kafka).
• Networking & Observability: Strong foundational knowledge of firewalls, load balancers, DNS, SSL/TLS, and observability tooling (ELK, Prometheus, Grafana, eG Enterprise).
• Domain Preference: Prior experience supporting government, defense, or highly regulated IT environments is advantageous.

Preferred Skills

• Infrastructure automation via Ansible, Shell Scripting, or Python.
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, DevOps practices, and REST API integration patterns.
• Deep knowledge of cybersecurity hardening, vulnerability management, and CaaS/PaaS architecture standards.
