PlatformOperations Engineer (Cloud Infrastructure)

General Responsibilities:

You will be part of a dynamic team responsible forexploring, designing, managing and optimising our cloud infrastructure platforms and services. You will be responsible for implementing cloud networking, storages, virtual machines and infra security solutions. You must have a good understanding of cloud infra technologies, architecture and site reliability engineering (SRE) and familiar with AWS platform and manage interfaces to SaaS platforms.

Cloud Architecture & Engineering

. Design, develop and deploy a highly available, reliable and scalable cloud infrastructure platform and services with aligned security and network controls. The job scopes involve implementing effective infra-solutions for cloud networks, storages, virtual machines, serverless infra, infrasecurity and disaster recovery.

. Develop and maintain infrastructure using infra-as-code tools like Terraform or Ansible to ensure repeatable, automated and version-controlled deployments.

. Translate business, security, and resiliency requirements into cloud solutions.

. Assess and recommend cloud technologies based one ffectiveness, cost and feasibility.

Security, Compliance & Governance

. Enhance cloud security posture in collaboration with CSP sand internal teams.

. Ensure solutions comply with government policies (e.g.,IM8, Cloudscape) and industry standards.

. Troubleshoot and resolve complex cloud security and infrastructure issues.

. Conduct regular security assessments and recommend improvements to workflows, processes and tools.

. Participate in architecture reviews to ensure adherence to design principles and governance.

Operations & Optimisation

. Monitor and optimise cloud resources for performance,security, and cost efficiency.

. Build in-systems telemetry to analyse and optimise their performance and reliability.

. Define, implement and track SRE metrics, including SLO,SLI and error budgets to improve cloud systems reliability.

. Perform capacity planning to ensure that the infrastructure is scalable for future demands.

. Support operations involving SaaS and Government Commercial Cloud (GCC).

. Stay updated on emerging cloud trends and best practices.

[Qualifications, Skills andMindset]

General Requirements:

. At least 6 years of relevant working experience, including scripting and programming.

. Strong systems proficiency in IT Infrastructure (i.e.networks, systems, storage) and Infra Operations with application of core security principles.

. Proficient in infra-as-code and scripting tools like Ansible, Terraform, Linux shell scripts, Powershell, etc.

. Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to proactively address security and infrastructure challenges.

. Effective communication skills with the ability to engage stakeholders.

. Adaptable and collaborative in dynamic environments able to work independently or as part of a team open-minded, creative, and driven.

. Experience with Singapore Government IT projects, especially within GCC environments, is an advantage.

. Understanding of public cloud services like AWS.

. Relevant professional certifications (e.g., AWS Solutions Architect, Azure Solutions Architect) are preferred.
