Job Summary
We are looking for a motivated and proactive Platform Engineering Intern to join our team. This internship offers hand-on experience in building and support the infrastructure that powers our enterprise customer's application and services. You will work closely with experienced platform and middleware engineers providing post-sale technical support including deployment, configuration, and support to our enterprise customers.
Responsibilities
- Work closely with Solution architect, project team, post support team and customer IT team in deploying middleware and platform solution based on business requirements
- Coordinate and collaborate with other project team members throughout the project implementation to meet project goals
- Engage in the maintenance and support activities, which include perform troubleshooting, incident response, and patching in a timely manner
- Coordinate with vendors and support team on problem resolution, implementation issues and upgrades
- Build hardened and resilient environments with in-depth experience with middleware standards and best practices
- Write Clear documentation for internal and project needs
- Perform Scripting and coding (Such as Python, Bash/shell) when required
Requirements
- Pursuing a degree or diploma in Computer Science, Engineering or related field.
- Basic knowledge of Linux/Unix system and scripting (e.g, Bash, Python)
- Familiarity with cloud platforms and containerization (e.g: Kubernetes, Redhat Openshift) is a plus
- Basic Knowledge of the Automation tools (e.g: RedHat Ansible, terraform) is a plus.
- Understanding of version control systems like Git.
- Eagerness to learn, attention to details and ability to work in a team environment.
- Interest in middleware technologies such as API gateway, messaging queue and others.
- Experience with CI/CD Tools such as GitHub, Jenkins etc are preferred.
- Ability to learn in a fast-paced environment and acquire of modern technologies.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills in English
