Key Responsibilities
1. Manage Manufacturing Operations
- Manage the overall manufacturing operations of the manufacturing site to achieve business and manufacturing objectives.
- Lead Production, Planning, Logistics, Quality, Engineering, Maintenance and other plant support functions to ensure safe, efficient and reliable operations.
- Deliver manufacturing KPIs across Safety, Quality, Delivery, Cost, Productivity and People (SQDCP).
- Plan and optimise manufacturing capacity, manpower and resources to meet production requirements and customer demand.
- Ensure effective production planning, inventory management and on-time delivery.
- Manage the plant operating budget and manufacturing resources to achieve operational and financial targets.
2. Lead Operational Transition
- Lead the operational transition of the manufacturing site
- Implement the organisation structure, operating model, governance, systems and policies required for the new company.
- Work closely with various functional teams to ensure a smooth transition with minimal disruption to operations, employees and customers.
3. Drive Operational Performance & Productivity
- Drive improvements in productivity, quality, delivery, cost and manufacturing efficiency.
- Lead Lean Manufacturing, Operational Excellence and continuous improvement initiatives across the plant.
- Resolve operational issues through structured problem solving and preventive actions.
- Support new product introduction and manufacturing readiness to ensure successful production launch and sustained product quality.
4. Manage People
- Lead, coach and develop the plant leadership team.
- Build a culture of accountability, teamwork, safety and continuous improvement.
- Partner with HR on workforce planning, talent development, employee engagement and performance management.
- Maintain positive employee and industrial relations while ensuring compliance with Indonesian labour legislation and company policies.
5. Governance, Safety & Compliance
- Ensure compliance with Environmental, Health & Safety (EHS), quality, statutory and company requirements.
- Build and maintain effective relationships with customers, suppliers, government agencies, regulatory authorities and other external stakeholders.
- Safeguard company assets through effective governance, risk management and internal controls.
Qualifications
Education
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, Industrial Engineering or a related discipline.
- MBA or postgraduate qualification is an advantage.
Experience
- Minimum 15 years manufacturing experience, including at least 5 years in a senior manufacturing leadership role.
- Proven experience leading a large manufacturing operation with responsibility for Production, Planning, Quality, Engineering, Logistics and Maintenance.
- Demonstrated track record in improving productivity, quality, delivery and cost performance.
- Experience leading organisational transition, plant start-up, carve-out or business transformation is advantageous.
