Role Summary
Chipstone Electronics operates a module packaging facility with production carried out in a clean-room environment.
We are looking for a hands-on Plant Manager to run the daily operation and prepare the plant for growth. As the team is still small, this role requires direct involvement in production, manpower, equipment, quality, materials and daily problem-solving, not just management and reporting.
Key Responsibilities
- Take responsibility for plant output, quality, delivery, cost and safety.
- Run daily production and resolve manpower, equipment, material and process issues.
- Plan production capacity, shifts and headcount as the plant grows.
- Recruit, train and manage production operators, supervisors and technical staff.
- Establish practical SOPs, work instructions and production controls.
- Maintain clean-room, ESD, contamination-control and workplace safety standards.
- Work with Engineering and Quality to improve yield, reduce defects and minimise downtime.
- Coordinate production schedules, materials and inventory to meet delivery requirements.
- Ensure equipment maintenance and plant facilities are properly managed.
- Track and report output, yield, downtime, manpower, costs and operational risks.
Requirements
- At least 8 years of manufacturing experience, including plant or production leadership.
- Experience in semiconductor or electronic module packaging.
- Experience working in a clean-room or controlled manufacturing environment.
- Good understanding of production planning, quality control, equipment maintenance, ESD and workplace safety.
- Proven ability to build and manage shift-based production teams.
- Comfortable working hands-on in a small and growing operation.
- Practical, decisive and able to solve problems across functions.

- Daily production is stable, controlled and clearly managed.
- The plant is ready to scale from 12 to 30–40 employees.
- Operators and supervisors are properly trained and accountable.
- Yield, equipment reliability and delivery performance improve.
