Job Description & Requirements
Our team is looking for a Plant Inspector (Oil and Gas / Refinery) with experience in inspecting Cooling Towers and Boilers. As a Plant Inspector, you will be responsible for assistance in implementation of Testing & Inspection programs.
Roles & Responsibilities
- Work as a member of the technical team to provide process engineering support for operations in the refinery.
- Provide technical advice / support to daily operational issues.
- Perform unit optimization, troubleshooting, de-bottlenecking studies.
- Lead/participate in safety initiatives including risk assessments and HAZOP reviews
- Support on-going reliability improvements and equipment strategy development
- Analyze complex technical issues, identify key drivers, propose strategy / recommendations to support decision-making/resolution of technical issues
- Responsible for the development/execution of margin improvement ideas/projects.
- Coordinate NDT activities, Inspection activities relevant to the API and Refinery owner standards.
- Review RT films, witnessing NDT activities to get unique results.
- Experience in CUI, CUPS programs.
- Interpret the rests of UTG/PAUT and do the fracture analysis and remaining life calculations.
- Ensure quality of inspected items to meet project requirements and refinery standards.
- Inservice inspections in refineries / Oil and Gas / Petrochemical industries, such as corrosion under pipe support (CUPS), corrosion under insulation (CUI), Injection & Mix points inspections.
- Read, understand project related ITP, procedures, specification requirements.
- Review documents and drawings as per specification
- Knowledge / experience about Piping Isometrics, P & ID, general arrangement drawings, Structural drawings, Weld Maps, welding symbols, Cutting Plans, Quality control procedures, Base Materials, and welding consumables.
- Inspection, review of mill certificates, Material verification, Inspection of Pipes, Fittings, Flanges, valves, nipples, plate tubes as per respective materials specifications, Codes, Standards & Client Specifications. Inspection / Witness & Review Stage wise activities earlier stage of spool fabrication
- Fit-up Inspection and welding inspection, visual inspection
- Monitor and record welding parameter during welding as per WPS.
- Carry on & witness ferrite test inspection with Client after welding duplex / super duplex pipe spools weld joints.
- Witness for post weld heat treatment and review the reports. line check inspection, Pneumatic Testing, Hydro test, hot oil flushing, Chemical cleaning, Flood test, flushing & reinstatement, till the final stage of colour coding and valve tagging.
CRITERIA
- Graduate / Diploma Engineers with > 5 years of relevant experience.
- Relevant Engineering Degree or Diploma in Mechanical, Petroleum/Oil/Gas, Civil, Chemical or Industrial Engineering are acceptable.
- API 510 / 570 / 653, QAQC Qualified CSWIP 3.1 Welding inspector / Certified QAQC Inspector / Certified QA QC Engineer and NDT Level I & II.
- Expereince in inspecting Cooling Towers and Boilers is must.
- Experience in piping line walk, reinstatement inspections according to Isometric drawings.
- Knowledge in Non-Destructive Testing methods.
- Knowledge/experience in welding inspection, structural fabrication, piping Isometric drawing and piping materials.
- Work Independently and can work in Singapore and other countries.
- Master Microsoft Office include Excel, PowerPoint and Words.
- Fluent Reading, Speaking and Writing in English.
- Willing to commit 24 months contract/ project completion.
