Planning Engineer for a market leader in real-estate development (Developer)/ Project Engineer
Job Description
The Senior Planning Engineer is a pivotal role and responsible for developing, coordinating, and overseeing the detailed planning and scheduling of projects. This role require candidate to have a strong background in project management, good problem-solving skills, and the ability to think ahead to ensure projects finish on time and within budget. The Senior Project Engineer (Planning and Tender) will work closely with different teams, including project managers, engineers, clients, consultants and contractors to make sure the plans for projects are practical and effective.
Key Responsibilities:
1) Project Planning and Scheduling: Develop comprehensive project plans and schedules that incorporate all project activities, milestones, and deliverables. Utilize project management software to ensure accurate tracking and reporting.
2) Analyze tender documents to fully understand project requirements, constraints, and objectives.
3) Prepare detailed schedules for the tender preparation process, ensuring all milestones are met. Identify potential risks associated with tender bids
4) Allocate resources efficiently to optimize the preparation of bids, including manpower and materials necessary for comprehensive proposal development.
5) Efficiently allocate resources, including manpower, materials, and equipment, ensuring that projects are completed within budgetary constraints.
6) Providing regular updates on project progress, potential challenges, and changes to project plans.
7) Ensure that project planning and execution adhere to industry standards, company policies, and client specifications, maintaining high quality and safety standards.
8) Continuously assess and adjust bidding strategies based on changes in project scope, client requirements, or market conditions. Be prepared to pivot plans quickly to accommodate new information or feedback from stakeholders.
Requirements
1) Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
2) A minimum of 3 years of experience in project planning and management within the construction or engineering industry.
3) Proficiency in project management software (e.g., MS Project, powerpoint, Autocad).
4) Strong understanding of engineering principles, construction methodologies, and project management best practices.
5) Strategic thinker with a proactive approach to project planning and risk management.
6) Team Leadership: Lead and mentor junior planning engineers and other project staff, fostering a collaborative team environment
