Planning Engineer (Construction)

Job Description

• Develop and maintain comprehensive project schedules using project management software (e.g., MS Project, Primavera).
• Identify and analyze project risks and develop mitigation strategies.
• Break down project work into manageable tasks and define milestones.
• Estimate resource requirements (labor, materials, equipment) for each project phase.
• Monitor project progress against the baseline schedule and identify any deviations.
• Analyze project data and identify potential delays or cost overruns.
• Develop and implement corrective actions to keep the project on track.
• Prepare and present progress reports to project stakeholders.
• Communicate effectively with project managers, engineers, contractors, and other stakeholders.
• Coordinate project activities with other departments (e.g., procurement, logistics).
• Attend project meetings and provide updates on schedule progress.
• Review and analyze construction contracts for schedule implications.
• Manage and track variations, claims, and change orders related to schedule changes.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date project schedule documentation.
• Prepare reports on project schedule performance and risk assessments.

Job Requirement

• Diploma in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field (preferred).
• Minimum 3 years of experience in construction planning and scheduling (preferably in Singapore).
• Strong understanding of construction methods, sequences, and durations.
• Proficiency in project management software and scheduling techniques (e.g., Critical Path Method).
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and analytical skills.
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Excellent time management and organizational skills.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
