Planning Engineer (Civil and Structure) / Permanent - EAST

Job Summary

We are seeking a Planning Engineer (C&S) with strong civil and structural engineering experience to support building works from planning through execution. This role involves preparing construction plans and concrete body layouts, performing technical checks, raising RFIs to resolve issues, and ensuring effective coordination with project teams. You will play a key part in keeping structural works on schedule, technically compliant, and aligned with project goals.

Key Responsibilities

. Provide technical planning and engineering support for Civil & Structural (C&S) building works throughout project phases.

. Prepare concrete body plans and conduct basic structural design checks and calculations as required.

. Identify and raise Requests for Information (RFIs) to clarify design, resolve site technical issues, and propose solutions.

. Coordinate planning requirements and structural interfaces with project teams, including consultants, contractors, and internal stakeholders.

. Monitor project progress against schedule, ensuring that structural work phases align with planned sequences and timelines.

. Provide support for scheduling, resource allocation, and workflow planning for structural steel and reinforced concrete works.

. Ensure compliance with project specifications, structural design standards, and statutory requirements.

. Prepare and maintain documentation related to planning deliverables, technical submissions, and engineering checks.

. Communicate effectively with project teams to resolve technical challenges and maintain smooth workflow.

Qualifications & Experience

. Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, or a related engineering discipline (recognized by PE Board/BCA).

. 5 to 8 years experience in civil and structural (C&S) engineering related to building projects.

. Demonstrated experience with structural steel and reinforced concrete works.

. Strong ability to prepare plans and perform basic design calculations/checks.

. Proficient in raising and managing RFIs to support technical resolutions.

. Excellent written and verbal English communication skills, with the ability to coordinate with multiple stakeholders.

. Strong analytical skills and the ability to work independently and with project teams.
