Job Description

Role of Position

Develop a Master Plan & Strategies fit for specific project requirements which may be collated from technical and knowledgeable inputs of the project team (Project Manager's, PIC's, and Specialists Sub-Cons, etc.). To maintain, update, and ensure that projects are within the baseline programme.

Main Duties and Responsibilities

  • Support Tender Team in preparation of Construction Programme / Planning

  • Prepare Project Execution Plan / Logistics Plan / Construction Plan / EHS Plan / QAQC Plan

  • Review bid documents and put-up value engineering proposals to support bids/ tender

  • Project Controls including Contract Administration regard to Time Impact Analysis / Implications, supporting Contracts Department in preparing and serving Contractual Notices (Time Implications)

  • Support Contracts Department in analysing, preparation and apply Extension of Time for Completion

  • Coordinate with Project Team in producing baseline programme using Primavera P6 / MS project

  • Coordinate with Contract Team in cost-loading the baseline programme using Primavera P6 or MS Project

  • Coordinate with Project Management team and share the baseline programme with all project stakeholders

  • Coordinate and monitor critical/ major site activities with all the Project key personnel and generate a 12-Week rolling forecast

  • Weekly updates of the master schedule Using Primavera P6 / MS Project (by Project Managers)

  • Prepare and submit weekly / monthly project status (site progress) to document controller for weekly/ monthly report compilation (by Project Manager)

  • Responsible of giving cut-off dates for all submissions & approval (Shop drawings, materials, and Authorities submission) in conjunction with the baseline programme.

  • Conduct time impact analysis on all change orders/ variations and provide advice to the project team.

  • Notify the project team (weekly basis) of the all the major works that are less float, near critical, and critical with reference to the master programme (by Project Manager).

  • Responsible for investigating the cause of delay & major slippage of works

  • Coordinate with Project team and put up strategic delay mitigation plan

  • Work with Contracts Department and ensure issuance of Notice of Delay / Extension of Time

  • Provide training, supervision, guidance and management of Junior Planners/ Planners / Senior Planners as assigned

  • Collect, analyze and produce productivity data report on a quarterly basis

  • Identify training needs of the company and establish training programme

  • Prepare training materials and conduct in-house training for staff with respect to QAQC and Scheduling softwares.

  • Any other duties as may be assigned.

Notes:

Activities denoted to be under Project Managers may be carried out by Planners subject to size and complexities of each project and as directed by the Director/ Senior Director (Planning).
