Overview
Currie & Brown is seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Scheduler to support project planning and programme management across a range of construction and real estate projects. The role focuses on developing, maintaining, and monitoring project schedules to ensure that works are delivered on time, within scope, and in alignment with client objectives.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop, update, and maintain detailed project schedules using approved scheduling software (e.g., Primavera P6, MS Project).
- Work closely with project managers, cost managers, engineers, and contractors to gather input and accurately reflect project activities, durations, dependencies, and milestones.
- Monitor schedule progress and identify potential delays or risks, providing early warnings and recommending mitigation strategies.
- Prepare schedule reports, dashboards, and presentations for internal teams and clients.
- Conduct regular schedule reviews and progress updates, ensuring information is accurate and fully aligned with the latest project changes.
- Coordinate with cost control and project control teams to integrate schedule data with budgets, cash flows, and forecasts.
- Analyse the impact of design changes, variation orders, procurement issues, and site progress on the project timeline.
- Support the development of baseline schedules, recovery plans, and extension-of-time (EOT) assessments when required.
- Ensure compliance with Currie & Brown's project controls standards, governance frameworks, and reporting requirements.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in engineering, construction management, project management, or a related field.
- 37 years of experience in project scheduling, planning, or project controls within construction, infrastructure, oil & gas, or real estate sectors.
- Proficient in scheduling software such as Primavera P6 (preferred) and MS Project.
- Strong understanding of construction sequencing, project lifecycles, and critical path methodologies.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail.
- Able to communicate clearly and confidently with internal teams, contractors, and clients.
- Experience working with consultancy firms or PMCs (Project Management Consultants) is an advantage.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred Skills
- Knowledge of Earned Value Management (EVM).
- Experience working on large-scale real estate, healthcare, commercial, or infrastructure projects.
- Familiarity with reporting tools or data visualisation platforms (e.g., Power BI).
