Your Job
As a Planner at Molex Singapore, you will play a pivotal role in coordinating and expediting the flow of work and materials within or between departments. Your responsibilities include preparing production schedules, managing subcontractor services and buyer support, maintaining accurate material master data, and driving departmental indicators. You will address production challenges and engage independently with customers to ensure a seamless production process aligned with business objectives.
Our Team
You will be part of the DSS Division, reporting to the Planning Supervisor. Your work will involve close collaboration with various internal departments, including production, engineering, quality assurance, and supply chain teams. Additionally, you will engage with external partners such as subcontractors and external warehouses to align production outcomes with customer requirements.
What You Will Do
Production planning & scheduling
- Preparing of production schedule and prioritizes job-orders
- Ensure plan vs actual are achieved (SAP/Fusion APS)
- Review of production backlog & recovery-Close coordination with in-house production, assy planners, buyer to clear overdue backlog or make alternative plans towards fulfilling customers requirements
- Liaise with Operations group (including engineering & QA/AQP) to ensure that all quality obstacles are cleared to allow production
- Support MIE and coordinates with production for the samples run slot in.
- Review with subcon on components and raw material shortages respectively & closed loop liaison with assy planners on assembly production recovery or next best alternative
- Handle complex product with 1 stop services from component planning to FG level
- Dealing with customer independently.
Capacity alignment
- Review between capacity required and the capacity available for the respective product linescomponent planning per assembly planners production planning & also assembly planning.
- Highlight any deviation which may lead to adjustment of the capacity or of the delivery plan & to recommend capacity expansion or excess capacity re-deployment required for higher level decision making for foreseeable over- or underutilization of production.
- Be a part and support GS&OP monthly cadence and liaise with IE for correct work centers maintenance of parts.
- Planning to optimize available capacities (OEE/POEE performance tracking)
Delivery & Lead Time Planning
- To indicate what, when and in what amount is to be delivered from the factory/plant.
- Delivery planning is conducted with coordination between the Planning dept. & Product Marketing & constitute a link between production and sales & marketing where delivery planning depends on requirements of market & capacities of plant.
- To provide support for components & raw mat. requirements for new products development & actively participate in the implementation, monitoring and order completion process for projects transfer over to TTV from TTM for delivery planning related matters in terms of components positioning & selected assembly product lines.
- Liaise with QA & shipping department to execute shipments to customers, where necessary, for billing target to be achieved.
- To liaise with purchasing in the process of shipment of subcon components to support inhouse production.
Inventory control management
- Control of stock levels; prevention or detection of, and arrangement to reduce surplus inventories (a surplus inventory is a higher stock level than is necessary to cover future demand) and prevention of under-stocking which has a damaging effect on delivery ability.
- Minimize slow & excess inventory.
- Review between capacity required (derived from delivery planning) and the capacity actually available for the respective product lines planning requirement for raw mat. & components & selected assembly product lines.
Material master update & maintenance
- Responsible to ensure material master views relevant to PIC dept. are established & maintained for newly created & existing parts under his or her responsibility.
- Coordinate with IE and finance to Clean up OBS parts per the PCN due date
- Liaising with production for tooling disposition upon system OBS
Reporting and Other responsibilities:
- Analyze and prepare documents needed for production
- Capacity alerting for check & balance between cap available vs current & future demand
- Data analysis for inventory level, S&E control, Leadtime commitment
- Categorized of material or product line, slow moving, OBS, scrap proposal
- Review of exception reports, aging production orders and billing commitment weekly
- Support of the lean project/new system development and plant product pruning initiative for low utilized mcs.

Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)
- Diploma & above
- Minimum 5 years experience as a planner
- Strong organizational & communication skills
- Adaptability to fast changing environment
- Familiar with Microsoft outlook, words & excel
- Understanding of ERP system
