Develop and deliver piping system designs including layouts, isometric drawings, material specifications, and stress analyses compliant with applicable standards and project specifications.
Conduct piping routing, equipment layout, and ensure optimal integration with other disciplines.
Review vendor documentation and ensure conformance with project requirements.
Collaborate closely with process, mechanical, structural, and civil engineering teams to ensure effective design integration.
Support procurement with preparation of piping material take-offs (MTOs) and specification packages.
Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers and designers.
Participate in site visits and support construction and commissioning activities to resolve piping engineering issues.
Ensure adherence to project schedules, budget, and quality objectives.
Maintain engineering documentation, reports, and ensure proper archiving as per company policies.
Qualifications & Experience
Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
Minimum 5-10 years of piping engineering experience in offshore or onshore oil and gas projects.
Strong knowledge of piping codes and standards such as ASME B31.3, B31.4, API, ABS, and relevant safety regulations.
Proficiency in CAD and 3D modeling software (AutoCAD, PDMS, Aveva, or equivalent).
Excellent communication and teamwork skills with the ability to work in multidisciplinary teams.
Ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently under tight deadlines.
Familiarity with project management principles and client coordination.
