Physiotherapist

Key Responsibilities

• Consulting with patients to assess their physical conditions and learn more about their symptoms and challenges
• Reviewing patients medical history and referrals from surgeons, GPs, occupational therapists and other healthcare workers
• Planning, customizing and implementing a treatment program for patients
• Administering treatment including use of hands-on techniques (joint mobilization, deep tissue release etc.), use of modalities and exercise prescription to relieve pain and improve the patients mobility
• Educating patients and/or their caregivers on injury prevention and how to manage physical conditions at home
• May be required to carry out home visits on a limited basis
• Keeping detailed patient records in the Jane Clinic Management System, updating treatment plans when needed and complying with government physiotherapy regulations
• Advising on lifestyle changes and workplace accommodations
• Cross referring as necessary to other professionals within team, orthopedic surgeons or sports doctors, and other health professionals
• Staying up to date with the latest research and advancements in physiotherapy
• Willingness to learn and grow and develop knowledge and skills to assess and analyse patients holistically, to take a patient from the rehabilitative stage through to pain-free movement and optimal function
• Complying with regulations and maintaining high standards of patient care
• May be required to produce progress and medical reports on the patient's treatment and rehabilitation plan e.g. for insurance purposes
